Making The World Better With A Sweater

SPS staff and students raise donations for Save The Children

University of Kent Christmas Jumper Day

Following our Christmas Jumper Day at the School of Physical Sciences, staff and students pulled on their festive knits and made donations in aid of Save The Children.

Getting into the festive spirit, we saw a variety of fun, classy and science-based jumpers from students and staff at the School of Physical Sciences.

Winner of the Sweepstake

Who does Sophie Ellis-Bextor want to kiss under the mistletoe? SPS Clerical Receptionist Rachel Small won the sweepstake prize for guessing the celebrity was “Tinsel Stryder”! Congratulations Rachel and well done for guessing correctly! As part of Rachel’s enthusiasm to a healthy year, she was over the moon to receive a brand new state-of-the-art water bottle – happy hydrating Rachel!

Amount of Money Raised

Thank you to each and every single staff member, student and supporter who made a donation to Save The Children and took part in wearing their festive knits.

We are delighted to announce that we raised a grand total of £72.14 – a 20% increase from last year!
