The School of Physical Sciences is on the hunt for an outstanding Professor of Chemistry who can provide inspirational leadership, innovative research and a strategic outlook. It’s an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our team.
Bringing with them an internationally recognised research agenda, high quality publications that will enhance the reputation and impact of the school, and a demonstrated ability to produce competitive bids for research and enterprise funding, the new Professor will be a huge asset to the School.
They will also have an excellent opportunity to develop their research profile, joining the Functional Materials Group (FMG). Speaking about the Group and the opportunities that await the successful applicant, Dr. Chris Serpell, Head of the Functional Materials Group, says:
“Since starting here, I’ve always found the School of Physical Sciences at Kent to be a lively, welcoming, and intellectually diverse community, full of opportunities for exciting research. The new blood in the School has given us a strong collaborative spirit and I’ve been well supported materially and on a personal level by our fantastic team.
“Employing a new professor – experienced in any area of chemistry – is an exciting opportunity for the Functional Materials Group to continue to grow and further accelerate our rising research profile. It’s also great for the successful individual, giving them a chance to be a key part of our renewed joint success story. I look forward to welcoming the newest member of the team.”
The closing date for applications is midnight on the 12 November 2017.
