{"id":916,"date":"2012-01-04T14:27:31","date_gmt":"2012-01-04T14:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/specialcollections\/?p=916"},"modified":"2012-01-04T14:27:31","modified_gmt":"2012-01-04T14:27:31","slug":"special-collections-on-tv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/specialcollections\/2012\/01\/04\/special-collections-on-tv\/","title":{"rendered":"Special Collections on TV"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As a welcome back after the Christmas break, we have some exciting news!<\/p>\n<p>You may remember that back in <a title=\"Restoration Filming blog post\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/specialcollections\/2011\/06\/22\/restoration-filming\/\" target=\"_blank\">June last year<\/a>, Special Collections and the Cathedral Library were involved in filming for the series <a title=\"Restoration Man website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.channel4.com\/programmes\/restoration-man\/episode-guide\/series-2\/episode-1\" target=\"_blank\">Restoration Man<\/a> in an episode about\u00a0 Reed Mill in Kingston, which has now been restored as a home. Parts of our C. P. Davies and Muggeridge Mill Collections were used in the filming, and we&#8217;ve since supplied several further images for the show.<\/p>\n<p>This episode will be shown on <strong>Thursday 5th January at 9pm on Channel 4<\/strong> and will launch the new series.
