What is a Patent Attorney?<\/strong>
\nIn short, Patent Attorneys handle the protection of inventions. They are experts with academic backgrounds in their fields, be it tech, engineering or pharmaceuticals, for example, they are NOT lawyers. Patent Attorneys work with their clients’ new inventions, whether this be a new piece of software or a new technology, and investigate them in depth to establish whether the technology is indeed new and unique and therefore needs protecting.<\/p>\n

Who is best suited to this role?<\/strong>
\n– 2:1 or above in a technical degree such as: Physics, Computer Science, Electronic \/ Electrical \/ Telecommunications \/ Software engineering or related.

\n– We\u2019re looking for someone with ties to the North or someone who is looking for a long-term career living and working in York (it takes 4-6 years to become a fully qualified UK & EU Patent Attorney)<\/p>\n
