While two of the series\u2014the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/scholarships\/search\/FNADTWEXC002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\">Excellence Scholarship<\/a>\u2019 and the \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/scholarships\/search\/FNADTWEXC002\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"3\">Civic Mission Scholarship<\/a>\u2019\u2014opened earlier in the month, a third open&#8217;s today\u2014\u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/scholarships\/search\/FNADBAMEHE02\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"4\">BAME in Higher Education Scholarship<\/a>.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The\u00a0<b>BAME in Higher Education Scholarship<\/b>\u00a0is intended for current Final Year undergraduate applicants who identify as Black, Asian or a Minoritized Ethnic person. The scholarship is aimed to supporting UK Fee paying applicants with a 2:1 or first class degree continuing to Masters study at any of Kent\u2019s location. Award of these\u00a0scholarships provide \u00a33,000 towards the cost of tuition fees and a total of 18 awards will be available under the scheme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">We encourage all who qualify for the award to apply by\u00a0<b><i><u>Sunday 1 August 2021, 23:59 BST.<\/u><\/i><\/b><b><i><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Apply now at: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/scholarships\/search\/FNADBAMEHE02\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"4\">BAME in Higher Education Scholarship<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>A recent reflection on the scholarship name:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The University of Kent is aware of an ongoing and growing conversation that \u2018BAME\u2019 does not fully reflect the complexity or nuances of diversity within racially marginalized communities in the UK.
