We are looking for a talented, creative developer who is keen to improve.<br \/>\nThis is a coding role using coding standards, patterns, pairing and design. You will primarily concentrate on javascript ES6, but also use JQUERY, HTML and, CSS.<\/p>\n<p>We are not looking for a website designer; we need developers who are passionate about coding. You will receive help and guidance from a supportive team, and can expect your skills to improve significantly.<\/p>\n<p>There are opportunities for bright candidates to progress quickly within the team, and potential to work with other technologies such as Java and Angular.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nReporting to the Cloud Development Manager, you will be expected to:<br \/>\n\u2022 Interpret complex business specifications.<br \/>\n\u2022 Implement requirements using clean and concise code.<br \/>\n\u2022 Write unit tests for your code.<br \/>\n\u2022 Create professional user interfaces.<br \/>\n\u2022 Adapt quickly to the team\u2019s development tools, processes and version control.<br \/>\n\u2022 Participate in stand-up meetings, brainstorm sessions and demos.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical Skills<\/strong><br \/>\nExcellent JavaScript knowledge is paramount.<br \/>\nPlus knowledge of:<br \/>\n\u2022 A high level language eg Java, C# or C++<br \/>\n\u2022 HTML &amp; CSS<br \/>\n\u2022 JSON \/ XML<br \/>\n\u2022 OOD<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable<\/strong><br \/>\nThe role will involve the following skills, any exposure to these would be an advantage:<br \/>\n\u2022 AJAX and JQuery<br \/>\n\u2022 Unit Testing<br \/>\n\u2022 Agile methodologies<br \/>\n\u2022 Javascript Patterns<br \/>\n\u2022 Web Services and Restful APIs<br \/>\n\u2022 Version Control eg GIT<br \/>\n\u2022 Network and Browser debugging tools (Fiddler, Chrome DevTools and Postman)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Future skills and technologies, which may be gained within the role.<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Angular<br \/>\n\u2022 Java and Spring<br \/>\n\u2022 Unit Testing frameworks (Jasmine and Protractor, Mockito)<br \/>\n\u2022 npm<br \/>\n\u2022 Docker<br \/>\n\u2022 Test Driven Development<br \/>\n<strong>Education and Experience<\/strong><br \/>\nMust have a Computer Science (or similar) degree, or a good industry work portfolio.
