Athena Hack 2020 – all-women/non-binary hackathon

Athena 2020 logo

Female students are invited to Athena Hack 2020 that will be taking place at Imperial College London on the 18th-19th April.

ShowCode has partnered with Cisco as we look to help solve the circular economy, as a follow on from helping solve the plastic crisis last year – www.AthenaLDN.com

Athena Hack is an all-women/non-binary hackathon, for anyone aged 18+. It is an exciting experience organised by ShowCode as an initiative to champion female/non-binary technologists and focus their skills to help solve global issues with the power of technology.

We are encouraging Universities in the UK to send an all-female/non-binary team of 5 student’s (lecturers can join also) to attend Athena and compete in our hackathon.

All students who study or live 50 miles outside of London can claim a £50 contribution to travel and accommodation (£250 per team). All refreshments and food for the Hackathon participants will be provided.

Please take a look at our site for more information and to sign-up (www.AthenaLDN.com). We are aiming for Athena Hack 2020 to be bigger than our 2019 edition and would be delighted if your University would be a part of it.

There is no limit to the number of teams that each university can send, so please share this with all your women/non-binary students and other members of the faculty.
