About IDRsolutions
IDRsolutions is a small software company of 10 people based in Kings Hill (Kent),
Leicester and York, established in 1999 and with about 200 customers across the
globe. We develop a range of software products, including Java PDF SDK and
Image library for Java developers, and a PDF to HTML5/SVG converter aimed at the
mobile market.

Our customers range from small start-ups to the largest companies (Cern,
AirFrance, IBM, Paypal, Pearson, UBS, RandomHouse, Zinio, the US and UK
governments, and even Adobe).

What we are looking for:
We are looking for a graduate to join our team, initially on a one year contract,
which we hope will become a permanent contract. The role is a mix of development
and support with some input in marketing – we would tailor the exact role to fit the
candidate. Our main requirements are good Java skills and an ability to learn.
Knowledge of other languages such as JavaScript and Python would also be a
plus.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about programming and be able to talk about
projects they have worked on outside of university assignments. We would also like
someone who works hard and sets themselves high standards but has a sense of
‘fun’ and a life away from the keyboard.

You would be based in the KingsHill office (near West Malling/Maidstone), with the
option to work from home or remotely on occasion.

What is it like to work at IDRsolutions?
We are a team of developers so focus obsessively on creating the perfect
environment to write code – we hate meetings and other interruptions so keep them
to a minimum. We are always learning, and Friday afternoons are reserved for your
personal development.

We develop in a very agile way and you would be joining a small and highly
motivated team with an interesting, important and meaningful role from Day One.
We take our work seriously but we also have a sense of fun and discourage working
outside work hours.

There may also be the opportunity to attend events/conferences overseas and in
UK. In 2018 we attended CodeOne (San Francisco), Business of Software
(UK/Boston), Devoxx (Antwerp) and DevFest (Istanbul) as well as sending a team to
meet our new distributor in Tokyo.

What we are offering?
At IDRsolutions, you will further develop your Java skills and lots more. You will get
to see exactly how a small software company operates from the inside and be a key
part of the team.

There is a starting base salary of 21,000 pounds before tax and 20 days holiday
(plus Bank holidays). You would also be eligible to join the Company profit sharing
scheme (which pays out 20% of company profits each quarter) and we offer a
workplace pension.

If you are after a 10 storey office block, 80 hour weeks, a corporate mentality and
believe that interviews are about knowing the correct stock answers, we will not be
of interest. If you are industrious, creative and want a challenging start in business,
where you will always be improving, challenged and valued we hope you will
consider us.
