Victoria shares her experiences studying BSc Actuarial Science with a Year in Industry at the University of Kent, Canterbury.

Why did you choose to study at the University of Kent?

I chose to study at Kent because the teaching standard is high and the campus is really beautiful.

What is the best thing about studying in the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science?

The new Sibson Building and Sibson Café!

What has been your favourite topic/module on your course?

Portfolio Theory and Asset Pricing Models have been my favourite modules so far.

What have you found most interesting on your course?

All of the lectures are unique in their own way.

Have you found the School to be supportive? If so, how has the School supported you?

Yes! There’s good support, especially when looking for placement jobs. The School really cares about our employability.

What do you think of the Sibson Building? What do you think the Building means for students within the School?

I love the futuristic design and colour scheme. Go Green! The new lecture halls, study spaces and computers are fab! Sibson gives us a sense of belonging, and it is the perfect venue to meet like-minded people.

Can you sum up your course in three words?

Challenging yet exciting.

Would you recommend studying at Kent?

I would definitely recommend studying at Kent!
