What are you studying?

International Masters in Applied Actuarial Science.

What Stage will you be in during 2019?

Stage 2.

Where are you from?

Assam, India

How long have you been an ambassador and what made you want to become one? 

I was selected for this role about 10 months ago. I wanted to become a part of this to be close to the SMSAS community and also have a job that helps me build my people skills.

What’s your favourite part about being an ambassador?

The opportunity to meet new students from all over the world and helping them discover whether the University of Kent is the best choice for them.

What kind of work have you been involved in as an ambassador?

I have worked at a huge variety of events, including Open Days and Applicant Days. I have also been involved in giving tours to students and parents.

What’s your favourite thing about being at the University of Kent? 

As an international student, I got the chance to meet people from all over the world, learn about their culture and countries and most importantly,  this university has given me a leap in my actuarial career.

Do you have any advice/tips for prospective students?  

Try making the uni a part of you- don’t be afraid to take part in as many activities as possible! As Dumbledore said, ”One can never have enough socks.”
