How long have you been an ambassador and what made you want to become one?

2 years.  I wanted to be an ambassador because I was keen to make the most of my time at uni and the ambassador role has lots of opportunities to develop skills for your CV.

What’s your favourite part about being an ambassador?

The variety of things we can get involved with. There is also a really nice sense of community within the ambassador team which means work is always fun!

What kind of work have you been involved in as an ambassador?

Giving tours and talks on open days/applicant days, revision sessions, gcse/alevel support, developing and presenting outreach sessions with local schools, data entry.

What’s your favourite thing about being at the University of Kent?

I like the friendly atmosphere. Everyone always comments on it when they visit!

Do you have any advice/tips for prospective students?

Get involved with as much as possible during Welcome Week by going to events in the daytime as well as going out in the evenings. It’s the best time to meet new people, so make the most of it!
