{"id":1655,"date":"2021-03-05T10:13:19","date_gmt":"2021-03-05T10:13:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/?p=1655"},"modified":"2021-03-05T10:13:19","modified_gmt":"2021-03-05T10:13:19","slug":"smsas-trading-club-to-host-top-quant-on-wednesday-17-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/smsas-trading-club-to-host-top-quant-on-wednesday-17-march\/","title":{"rendered":"SMSAS Trading Club to host top quant on Wednesday 17 March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/mathematics-statistics-actuarial-science\/news\/1633\/smsas-trading-club-2021\">SMSAS Trading Club<\/a> will host <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/silvia-stanescu-4678291\/\">Dr Silvia Stanescu<\/a>, Senior Quantitative Researcher at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gam.com\/en\">GAM Systematic Cambridge<\/a>, for an informal conversation on Wednesday 17 March 2021 at 3pm.<\/p>\n<p>Silvia was recently featured by the Hedge Fund Journal as one of <a href=\"https:\/\/thehedgefundjournal.com\/50-leading-women-in-hedge-funds-2020\/\">50 leading women in hedge funds<\/a>.\u00a0 At GAM, Silvia specialises in systematic options trading, while also developing new futures macro strategies as well as enhancing the firm\u2019s existing quantitative strategies and contributing to the development of the solutions business.
