Dr Constanze Roitzheim<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Dr Constanze Roitzheim will give the second Mathematics public lecture in 2020 on Topology.<\/p>\n

Topology is a new form of geometry that looks at things quite differently compared to the classical, Euclidean approach. We will explore how this can be applied to the world today as well as how it can be used to solve problems that have been open for several thousand years.<\/p>\n

Dr Constanze Roitzheim undertook her doctoral studies at Bonn, and came to Kent in 2012 after fulfilling postdoctoral roles at Sheffield (2007-08) and Glasgow (2008-12). Her current research interests are stable homotopy theory, in particular model categories and chromatic homotopy theory; and homological algebra and A-infinity algebras.<\/p>\n
