{"id":1475,"date":"2019-07-18T11:13:30","date_gmt":"2019-07-18T10:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/?p=1475"},"modified":"2019-12-02T11:20:12","modified_gmt":"2019-12-02T11:20:12","slug":"lewis-topley-awarded-prestigious-research-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/lewis-topley-awarded-prestigious-research-fellowship\/","title":{"rendered":"Lewis Topley awarded prestigious research Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SMSAS Research Associate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/mathematics-statistics-actuarial-science\/people\/1119\/topley-lewis\">Dr Lewis Topley<\/a> has been awarded a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, titled <em>Geometric Representation Theory and W -algebras<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Future Leaders Fellowships were established in 2018 and aim to establish the careers of world-class research and innovation leaders across UK business and academia. As a result of the grant Lewis will be able to continue his own work, can bring world-leading experts in the field to Kent as visitors, and he will be organising some workshops and a pubic engagement project with digital musician Daniel Ross.
