{"id":1470,"date":"2019-10-02T16:27:24","date_gmt":"2019-10-02T15:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/?p=1470"},"modified":"2019-11-29T16:27:53","modified_gmt":"2019-11-29T16:27:53","slug":"constanze-roitzheim-represents-smsas-at-btm-34","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/constanze-roitzheim-represents-smsas-at-btm-34\/","title":{"rendered":"Constanze Roitzheim represents SMSAS at BTM 34"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Lecturer in Mathematics, Dr Constanze Roitzheim, represented the School at the 34th British Topology Meeting held at the University of Warwick on 16 &#8211; 18 September.\u00a0Constanze&#8217;s talk was the first of the day on Tuesday 17 September and was entitled <strong>Equivariant homotopy commutativity, trees and chicken feet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As she explained:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Commutativity up to homotopy can be daunting, and it gets even more difficult to track when equivariant structures get introduced. In the case of a finite group, however, the options for equivariant homotopy commutativity can be encoded using simple combinatorics&#8230;&#8221;.
