{"id":1393,"date":"2019-06-10T15:34:31","date_gmt":"2019-06-10T14:34:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/?p=1393"},"modified":"2019-06-10T16:44:55","modified_gmt":"2019-06-10T15:44:55","slug":"dr-constanze-roitzheim-gave-keynote-talk-at-topology-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/dr-constanze-roitzheim-gave-keynote-talk-at-topology-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr Constanze Roitzheim Gave Keynote Talk at Topology Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Lecturer in Mathematics, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/mathematics-statistics-actuarial-science\/people\/424\/roitzheim-constanze\">Dr Constanze Roitzheim<\/a>, from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/mathematics-statistics-actuarial-science\/\">School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science<\/a> (SMSAS) at the University of Kent, recently gave a keynote talk at the &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/early-career-topology.postgrad.shef.ac.uk\/\">Early Career Topology Researchers (ECTR)&#8217;<\/a> Conference 2019, held at the University of Sheffield and supported by the London Mathematical Society (LMS).<\/p>\n<p>Constanze presented a talk titled, &#8216;Homotopy Theory of Bicomplexes&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Model categories provide a way of talking about homotopy theory in an algebraic setting.
