{"id":1367,"date":"2019-05-23T16:30:58","date_gmt":"2019-05-23T15:30:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/?p=1367"},"modified":"2019-05-23T16:30:58","modified_gmt":"2019-05-23T15:30:58","slug":"actuarial-science-with-a-year-in-industry-student-shortlisted-for-student-employment-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smsasnews\/actuarial-science-with-a-year-in-industry-student-shortlisted-for-student-employment-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Actuarial Science with a Year in Industry Student Shortlisted for Student Employment Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/undergraduate\/6\/actuarial-science-with-a-year-in-industry\">BSc Actuarial Science with a Year in Industry<\/a> student, Trevor Ong, from the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/smsas\"> School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science<\/a> (SMSAS) at the University of Kent, has been shortlisted for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student\/kentawards\/index.html\">Kent Student Award<\/a> for &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student\/kentawards\/shortlist\/students\/student-employment.html\">Outstanding Contribution to Student Employment<\/a>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>Trevor was nominated for the Award having gone above and beyond his day to day duties in his Student Staff role.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/student\/kentawards\/index.html\">Kent Student Awards<\/a> will be announced during a gala dinner on Friday 31 May.
