The Statistical Ecology Research Festival, organised by SE@K students Anita Jeyam, Marina Jiménez Muñoz and Ming Zhou together with SE@K research associate, Dr Julio César Pereira, took place on 7th June 2016.
The event was attended by over 30 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers from the University of Kent, University of East Anglia and the University of Essex, amongst others. The day included presentations, a round table discussion on topics such as Bayesian inference and capture-recapture data and a talk on NERC fellowships given by SE@K academic Dr Rachel McCrea.
The level and quality of talks was extremely high and Laura Nunes and Charlie Outhwaite from UCL were awarded prizes for their talks.
The event was very well received and received very positive feedback.
