SMSAS was the first School at the University to achieve Athena SWAN accreditation. Professor Peter Clarkson has taken a lead on this for several years and Peter (above, right) has recently received an Athena SWAN Champion award (above, left) in recognition of the School’s ongoing work in embedding equality, diversity and inclusivity.
