Re-accreditation Success for Kent

The University of Kent has become one of the first universities in the UK to successfully achieve accreditation under the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ (IFoA) new Curriculum 2019 exemption structure.

Actuarial Science degree programmes taught by the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science (SMSAS) offer prospective actuaries the opportunity to gain a comprehensive portfolio of professional exemptions, with Kent offering more professional exemptions than any other university in the UK.

Exemptions that can be achieved on the Actuarial Science programmes include:

BSc in Actuarial Science, BSc Actuarial Science with a Year in Industry, BSc in Actuarial Science with a Foundation Year and Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science

Students can gain all six exemptions from the Core Principles Subjects: CB1, CB2, CM1, CM2, CS1 and CS2.

MSc in Applied Actuarial Science and MSc in Applied Actuarial Science with an Industrial Placement

Students can gain exemptions from the following Core Practices and Specialist Principles Subjects: CP1, CP2, CP3, SP2, SP4, SP5, SP6, SP7, SP8 and SP9.

MSc International Masters in Applied Actuarial ScienceĀ 

Students can gain exemptions from the following Core Principles, Core Practices and Specialist Principles Subjects: CB1, CB2, CM1, CM2, CS1, CS2, CP1, CP2, CP3, SP2, SP4, SP5, SP6, SP7, SP8 and SP9.
