Professor of Mathematics, Professor Peter Clarkson, from the School of Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science (SMSAS) at the University of Kent, was one of two editors of a special issue of Mathematics Journal, ‘Studies in Applied Mathematics’.
The special issue has been published containing papers by plenary speaks from the 14th Orthogonal Polynomials, Special Functions and Applications (OPSFA14) Conference held at Kent in July 2017.
The papers in the special issue are:
- Dualities in the q-Askey Scheme and Degenerate DAHA Tom Koornwinder and Marta Mazzocco
- Beta Distributions and Sonine Integrals for Bessel Functions on Symmetric Cones Margit Rösler and Michael Voit
- Algorithms for computing cubatures based on moment theory Mathieu Collowald and Evelyne Hubert
- Exceptional Laguerre Polynomials
Niels Bonneux and Arno Kuijlaars - Durfee Rectangles and Pseudo-Wronskian Equivalences for Hermite Polynomials David Gómez-Ullate and Yves Grandati Robert Milson
- Rational Solutions of the Painlevé-III Equation Thomas Bothner, Peter D. Miller and Yue Sheng
- The dynamics of conservative peakons in a family of U(1)-invariant integrable equations of NLS-Hirota type Stephen Anco, Xiangke Chang and Jacek Szmigielski
The special issue was edited by Professor Peter Clarkson and Professor Adri Olde Daalhuis from the University of Edinburgh. To view the special issue of Studies in Applied Mathematics, click here.
