In March Professor Byron Morgan gave an invited talk at the DAGStat meeting in Goettingen, home to the Mathematician/Statistician Carl Friedrich Gauss.
In April Byron gave a contributed talk at the Congres Vlinderstichting meeting in Wageningen, and has been busy co-editing the latest issue of the journal Statistical Science with Professor Steve Buckland, University of St. Andrews, commemorating the 50-year anniversary of the capture-recapture papers by Cormack, Jolly and Seber. Byron has also joined the advisory board of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Essex.
