Nuffield Students arrive at Kent

From August 3rd – 28th, SMSAS will be running four Nuffield projects for local A-level students: Frazer Hope, Milgy Matthews, Aiden McCall and Alysha Sayer. They will be based in Room 16 of the Rutherford Annex and will be on-site from 10:00 – 16:00 most days. Please pop in and say hello to them if you are around.

As well as designing their project and working in tandem with members of SMSAS, the Nuffield Students will write a project report which will then be discussed at an awards ceremony in the autumn. This year the projects include Monitoring Wildlife with Statistics, Upgrading the Solitons Tank, and Designing a Maths Experiment.

For their support with the Nuffield projects we would like to thank Jenny Ashcroft, Freyja Bills, Claire Carter, Derek Baldwin, Lucy Durrant, Mareike Haberichter, Anita Jeyam, Andrew Kitchin, Steffen Krusch, Rachel McCrea and Rachael Whyman.

If you would like to run a Nuffield project in the future then please contact Andy Hone or Joe Watkins.
