Bespoke Positive Action sessions to learn about the exciting career opportunities with Kent Police.

Virtual Assessment Centres – 13.00-14.00

A virtual assessment centre might sound daunting. But you’ll be pleased to know that it’s not that different from your standard assessment centre. This session will cover how virtual assessment centres work and how best to prepare for one.

Study Plus: Presentation skills – 13.30-15.00

By the end of the session, participants will have:

  • Examined presentation fears and strategies to overcome them
  • Understood some tools and models for presenting such as Kiss; The Pyramid Principle and INTRO
  • Practiced presenting – speed style
  • Explored ways to beat the nerves

Study Plus: Coding for beginners – Python by FDM – 14.00-15.30

An introductory session for those looking to learn the basics of programming in Python. There is a practical demonstration for this event to allow you to follow along – so please use an online tool such as Repl.it/programmiz or download a python IDE to your computer.

This session provides valuable tips that could help you get more out of using the LinkedIn platform to navigate our university’s impressive alumni pool.
