\nDr Jennifer Walshe will present her\u00a0 recent work<\/strong>.
\nShe is a composer, performer and visual artist of whom the Irish\u00a0 Times has said that “without a doubt, hers is the most original\u00a0 compositional voice to emerge in Ireland in the last 20 years\u201d.\u00a0 Jennifer Walshe says of her work that \u201cthe\u00a0 sounds I am interested in include those that we hear all the time but are normally\u00a0 considered flawed or redundant: twigs snapping in a burning fire, paper\u00a0 tearing, breathing, instrumental sounds that aren\u2019t considered \u2018beautiful\u2019 in\u00a0 standard terms.<\/p>\n

I think these sounds have their own beauty in the way that\u00a0 pebbles on a beach or graffiti can have.\u201d<\/p>\n
