The School of Music and Fine Art are delighted to welcome Kathrin B\u00f6hm in the next Fine Art Visiting Artist Talk. All are welcome to attend.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thursday 13th February,\u00a0 2014\u00a0 6-8pm BridgeWardens College Lecture Theatre.<\/p>\n

Kathrin B\u00f6hm<\/b> is an artist and founding member of the London based art and architecture collective public works, and the pan-European artist initiative myvillages.org.\u00a0 Projects are produced collaboratively and within the public realm.<\/p>\n

Kathrin will discuss working collaboratively, working within everyday spaces, working within and towards a complex public realm, and the relationship between participatory art practice and the making of public space.<\/p>\n

Current and recent projects include the \u201cInternational Village Shop\u201d (2005 \u2013 ongoing) with new collective product developments in Conistion (Grizedale Arts, Cumbria), H\u00f6fen (Southern Germany) and Brezoi (Romania), the second round of the \u201cEco Nomadic School\u201d,\u00a0 \u201cTrade Show\u201d at Eastside Projects in Birmingham (co-curated with Gavin Wade) \u201cGood News From Nowhere\u201d an exhibition and events programme at The Architecture Foundation in London, \u201cColchester Inn\u201d commissioned by firstsite in Colchester and \u201cVorrastkammer (Pantry)\u201d at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin.<\/p>\n
