Turner Contemporary Curator, Lauren Wright told our graduate artists \u201cthis was a very difficult decision for the team as you\u2019ve all made very strong work and we\u2019ve so enjoyed working with you\u201d. The Turner Contemporary are very keen to continue working with and supporting our graduates through their developing careers in the next few months.<\/p>\n<p>Turner Contemporary invites you to celebrate the announcement of the Platform Graduate Award winner 2013, and for a discussion about the opportunities and challenges facing emerging artists.<\/p>\n<p><b>Panel Discussion and <\/b><b>Winner Announcement:<br \/>\n<\/b>Thursday 7 November 2013, 3 &#8211; 6pm, Turner Contemporary<\/p>\n<p>3pm &#8211; Panel discussion and Q&amp;A<br \/>\nWhat are the challenges and opportunities artists face when embarking upon a career? What support can they expect from galleries, dealers and other artists? How do they make sure they keep up their momentum after graduation? It seeks to reflect the way in which light rests within a space, settling like dust even if just momentarily. Adapted for the Turner specifically, the installation evolves into a new form drawing on the stunning expanse of sea and sky, with the<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smfa-news\/files\/2013\/10\/Ephemeral-Rays-TC-c.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-261\" alt=\"Ephemeral Rays TC c\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smfa-news\/files\/2013\/10\/Ephemeral-Rays-TC-c-300x240.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smfa-news\/files\/2013\/10\/Ephemeral-Rays-TC-c-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/smfa-news\/files\/2013\/10\/Ephemeral-Rays-TC-c-1024x820.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>infinite horizon line as the focal point of the composition.<br \/>\n\u201cThe relationship between place and space is of huge interest.
