The series has previous been run as a book series, edited by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/staff\/LukeLavan\/\">Dr Luke Lavan<\/a>\u00a0from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/index.html\">Department of Classical and Archaeological Studies<\/a>, since 2001. Luke will remain as series editor with research associate Dr Michael Mulryan.<\/p>\n<p><em>Late Antique Archaeology<\/em>\u00a0will be published annually, supported by double-blind peer review. It will contain papers that address broad themes relating to the historical reconstruction of Mediterranean and north-west European society, from the accession of Diocletian (A.D. 283) to the middle of the 7th century.\u00a0 It will publish contributions focussing on the use of archaeological evidence to address synthetic questions, and to present pertinent field discoveries.
