{"id":9685,"date":"2019-01-09T09:50:59","date_gmt":"2019-01-09T09:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=9685"},"modified":"2019-01-21T10:50:26","modified_gmt":"2019-01-21T10:50:26","slug":"hispanic-studies-graduate-publishes-article","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2019\/01\/09\/hispanic-studies-graduate-publishes-article\/","title":{"rendered":"Hispanic Studies graduate publishes article based on research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SECL alumna Penelope Reilly, a Master&#8217;s graduate in Hispanic Studies from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/modern-languages\/index.html\">Department of Modern Languages<\/a>, has published an article based upon her postgraduate research,\u00a0entitled: <a href=\"http:\/\/muse.jhu.edu\/article\/708273\">\u201cNew light on the road to Damascus? Some further thoughts on acculturation as seen in the auto<em> La Conversi\u00f3n de San Pablo<\/em>\u201d<\/a> in the journal <em>Franciscan Studies<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Her article focuses on aspects of the early interaction between the Franciscan friars and the indigenous people of Mexico in the early 16th century.
