{"id":9459,"date":"2018-12-07T10:38:07","date_gmt":"2018-12-07T10:38:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=9459"},"modified":"2018-12-07T10:38:07","modified_gmt":"2018-12-07T10:38:07","slug":"research-student-ann-christine-kinzer-publishes-article-for-wanderland-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2018\/12\/07\/research-student-ann-christine-kinzer-publishes-article-for-wanderland-exhibition\/","title":{"rendered":"Research student Ann-Christine Kinzer publishes article for &#8220;Wanderland&#8221; exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ann-Christine Kinzer, research student in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/modern-languages\/index.html\">Department of Modern Languages<\/a>, has recently contributed an article for a museum catalogue which will complement an exhibition taking place at the Germanische National Museum in Nuremberg from 28th November 2018 &#8211; 28th April 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is titled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gnm.de\/en\/exhibitions\/current-and-upcoming\/wanderland\/\"><em>\u201cWanderland.\u201d A journey through the history of rambling.<\/em><\/a>\u00a0Rambling is walking on a large scale and with a closeness to nature and \u2013 although also a common form of travel in the past \u2013 a leisure activity. The rambler appropriates the natural space by covering its distances, and has a view of the region or into the distance \u2013 perhaps from on high.
