{"id":9020,"date":"2018-08-09T09:37:56","date_gmt":"2018-08-09T08:37:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=9020"},"modified":"2018-08-09T09:37:56","modified_gmt":"2018-08-09T08:37:56","slug":"linguistics-success-in-the-nss-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2018\/08\/09\/linguistics-success-in-the-nss-2018\/","title":{"rendered":"Linguistics success in the NSS 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The results of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestudentsurvey.com\/\">National Student Survey 2018<\/a>\u00a0(NSS) have now been released, revealing excellent news for the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/ell\/index.html\">Department of English Language &amp;\u00a0Linguistics<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The NSS is an independent UK-wide survey of all higher education institutions, providing an opportunity for final-year students to independently rate their experience at university.<\/p>\n<p>The survey ran from January until April this year, targeting students towards the end of their degree, and\u00a0the results were recently published.<\/p>\n<p>The Department received a major endorsement for its teaching quality, with the student score for teaching\u00a0satisfaction\u00a0at 95%, ranking 6<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>in its subject area.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to our academic and support staff for providing excellent teaching to achieve this result, and we would like to thank all of our students who participated in the survey.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The results of the\u00a0National Student Survey 2018\u00a0(NSS) have now been released, revealing excellent news for the\u00a0Department of English Language &amp;\u00a0Linguistics.
