This is the culmination of three or four years of hard work (or longer for part-time students).<\/p>\n<p>A post-graduation party was held on campus, complete with a prize-giving ceremony for those who have made a particular contribution to the school. The Modern Languages prize winners included:<\/p>\n<p><em>French<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amber Phillips won the Best Degree in French<\/li>\n<li>Imogen Sharpe and Cameron Ure jointly won Best French Dissertation<\/li>\n<li>Eleanor Carswell won Most Significant Contribution to French<\/li>\n<li>Sophie Mason won Best Performance at Stage 3 by an <em>Ab Initio\u00a0<\/em>Student in French<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>German<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oliver Jacobs won Best Degree in German<\/li>\n<li>Emma Salt won Best German Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Elizabeth Asher won Most Significant Contribution to German<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Hispanic Studies<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amber Phillips won the Best Degree in Hispanic Studies<\/li>\n<li>Maria Esposito won the Best Hispanic Studies Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Rosie Ellery won the Most Significant Contribution to Hispanic Studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Italian<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Victoria Cantwell won Best Degree in Italian<\/li>\n<li>Claire Newbolt won the Italian Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Adam Cater won the Prize for Most Significant Contribution to Italian<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prior to the party, our graduates were awarded their degrees at a ceremony held in\u00a0Canterbury Cathedral.<\/p>\n<p>An album of photos of the party has been added to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/unikentsecl\/\">SECL Facebook<\/a> page:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pg\/unikentsecl\/photos\/?tab=album&amp;album_id=2041404259265200\">www.facebook.com\/pg\/unikentsecl\/photos\/?tab=album&amp;album_id=2041404259265200<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to our final-year students from the Department of Modern Languages, who graduated yesterday with their well-earned degrees.
