{"id":8722,"date":"2018-05-17T12:19:13","date_gmt":"2018-05-17T11:19:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=8722"},"modified":"2018-05-17T16:47:46","modified_gmt":"2018-05-17T15:47:46","slug":"secl-student-success-project-prize-winner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2018\/05\/17\/secl-student-success-project-prize-winner\/","title":{"rendered":"SECL Student Success Project prize winner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/studentsuccess\/index.html\">Student Success Project Team<\/a> have awarded the prize of an Amazon Echo Dot to \u00a0James Stock, on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/thrs\/undergraduate\/religious-studies.html\">BA (Hons) in Religious Studies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The prize draw was designed to promote <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/teaching\/advisers\/index.html\">Academic Advisers<\/a> as a point of contact for students. &#8216;I\u2019d really recommend all students see their Academic Adviser as early in the year as possible, even if it is just to show your face and say hello, as it\u2019s for your own benefit,&#8217; said James.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/ell\/staff\/bailey.html\">Dr Laura Bailey<\/a>, the Student Success Project Lecturer within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/index.html\">School of European Culture and Languages<\/a> (SECL), added &#8216;Academic Advisers can help with all kinds of skills and advice, from how to write essays to what modules will be best for your career plans.
