The University of Kent will host a Q&A with award-winning director Ken Loach on 12 April 2018. The event is free to attend and open to the public.<\/p>\n
Ken Loach<\/a>, who has directed films including Kes<\/em>, I, Daniel Blake <\/em>and The Wind That Shakes the Barley<\/em> and numerous TV dramas, including Cathy Come Home<\/em>, will also be joined by Tony Garnett<\/a>, a renowned producer who has worked with Loach on many of his projects.<\/p>\n The event begins at 14.15pm with a free screening of Loach and Garnett\u2019s acclaimed drama The Big Flame,<\/em> which covers the Liverpool dock \u2018work-in\u2019 of 1969. This will be followed by a short talk by Ken Loach and Tony Garnett, and a Q&A with the audience starting at 16.15pm.<\/p>\n While the event is free to attend, spaces are limited. Therefore, those interested in attending are asked to register in advance to secure a spot.
