{"id":8290,"date":"2018-01-29T11:44:44","date_gmt":"2018-01-29T11:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=8290"},"modified":"2018-01-31T13:29:16","modified_gmt":"2018-01-31T13:29:16","slug":"philosophy-reading-weekend-to-be-held-in-february","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2018\/01\/29\/philosophy-reading-weekend-to-be-held-in-february\/","title":{"rendered":"Philosophy Reading Weekend in February"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/philosophy\/index.html\">Department of Philosophy<\/a>\u00a0is organising an annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/philosophy\/events\/index.html?eid=30460\">Philosophy Reading Weekend<\/a>, to be held in Rippledown, Kent, on the weekend 17-18 February 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The weekend will consist of a trip to the coast, featuring philosophical talks by fellow students, walks, games, an evening at the local pub.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be up to six students giving short presentations on the Saturday and Sunday, with lots of time for discussion. If you are interested in giving a talk (such as present parts of a dissertation, or a paper you wrote in one of your classes, or a philosophical idea you want to test out), please email <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/philosophy\/staff\/ware.html\">Lauren Ware<\/a> at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:L.Ware@kent.ac.uk.%20\">L.Ware@kent.ac.uk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The cost for one night\u2019s accommodation at Rippledown, including meals and the pub dinner is \u00a333 (excluding drinks).
