{"id":810,"date":"2013-05-10T08:56:20","date_gmt":"2013-05-10T08:56:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=810"},"modified":"2013-08-31T14:52:26","modified_gmt":"2013-08-31T14:52:26","slug":"clls-guest-lecture-series-prof-anne-judge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2013\/05\/10\/clls-guest-lecture-series-prof-anne-judge\/","title":{"rendered":"French linguistic policies and the regional languages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Professor <a href=\"http:\/\/www.surrey.ac.uk\/englishandlanguages\/staff_list\/complete_staff_list\/judge_anne\/\">Anne Judge<\/a> will be presenting a paper entitled &#8216;French linguistic policies and the regional languages: an ideological battleground&#8217; for the Centre for Language and Linguistic Studies on Tuesday 14\u00a0May, at 5pm, \u00a0in CoLT3.\u00a0 The talk will focus on the tangled politics of minority language recognition in the French context, and will be of interest to French specialists (especially those taking <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/courses\/modulecatalogue\/modules\/FR615\">FR615 &#8211;\u00a0French: Socio-Linguistics<\/a>) and to non-specialists alike.<\/p>\n<p>Anne Judge is Professor Emeritus at the University of Surrey, where she taught French linguistics for many years.
