{"id":7200,"date":"2017-04-03T14:51:08","date_gmt":"2017-04-03T13:51:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=7200"},"modified":"2017-04-03T15:22:38","modified_gmt":"2017-04-03T14:22:38","slug":"competition-win-signed-novels-from-our-authors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2017\/04\/03\/competition-win-signed-novels-from-our-authors\/","title":{"rendered":"Competition: win signed novels from our authors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the success of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/complit\/news\/index.html?view=7038\">Writing Fiction \/ Getting Published<\/a> event, held on Thursday 9 March, in which three authors from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/complit\/index.html\">Department of Comparative Literature<\/a> talked about their novels, the process of writing and how they got published, we have signed copies of Anna Schaffner\u2019s <em><a href=\"http:\/\/atlantic-books.co.uk\/book\/the-truth-about-julia\/\">The Truth about Julia<\/a><\/em> and Lesley Gray\u2019s <em><a href=\"http:\/\/kingsjockey.com\">The King\u2019s Jockey<\/a><\/em> to give away.<\/p>\n<p>To win, just answer the following question:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What was the name of king&#8217;s horse that struck the suffragette, Emily Wilding Davison, at the 1913 Derby?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Send your answers to <a href=\"mailto:secl@kent.ac.uk\">secl@kent.ac.uk<\/a> with \u2018SECL book competition\u2019 as the subject of the email.
