Twenty-four Hours in the \u201cKingdom of the Sick\u201d\u2019. She will examine the effectiveness of theatre in tackling our response to serious illnesses, and will ask whether productions like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaltheatre.org.uk\/shows\/a-pacifists-guide-to-the-war-on-cancer\"><em>A Pacifist&#8217;s Guide to the War on Cancer<\/em><\/a> &#8211; a 2016 musical that was staged at the National Theatre &#8211; can influence our attitudes and behaviours.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of medicine tangentially occurs in Lesley\u2019s own PhD research, with her thesis currently titled\u00a0&#8216;What\u2019s the Fascination?
