{"id":6566,"date":"2016-10-07T14:48:38","date_gmt":"2016-10-07T13:48:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=6566"},"modified":"2016-10-07T14:48:38","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T13:48:38","slug":"call-for-papers-the-fifth-reasoning-club-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2016\/10\/07\/call-for-papers-the-fifth-reasoning-club-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for papers: The Fifth Reasoning Club Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/researchcentres\/reasoning\/index.html\">Centre for Reasoning<\/a>, based in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/philosophy\/index.html\">Department of Philosophy<\/a>, has\u00a0set up a network of similar centres, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/researchcentres\/reasoning\/club\/index.html\">Reasoning Club<\/a>, which is currently\u00a0run by Jason Konek who will be joining the department next year. The Club is organising its next interdisciplinary conference, to be at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unito.it\">University of Turin<\/a> on 18-19 May 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Submissions for the\u00a0Fifth Reasoning Club Conference\u00a0are now open.\u00a0All PhD candidates and early career researchers with interests in reasoning and inference, broadly construed, are encouraged to submit an abstract of up to 500 words (prepared for blind review) via Easy Chair: <a href=\"https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=rcc17\">https:\/\/easychair.org\/conferences\/?conf=rcc17<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The organisers are especially welcome members of groups that are underrepresented in philosophy to submit, and they are committed to promoting diversity in the final conference programme.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is\u00a0<strong>1 February 2017<\/strong>. The final decision on submissions will be made by 15 March 2017.\u00a0\u2028Grants will be available to help cover travel costs for contributed speakers.
