Clarke Award<\/a> for science fiction literature.<\/p>\n<p>The Arthur C. Clarke Award is the most prestigious award for science fiction in Britain. The annual award was established in 1987, with a generous grant by Sir Arthur C. Clarke and is given for the best science fiction novel first published in the\u00a0UK\u00a0during the previous year. The winner is judged by a jury panel and selected from an initial shortlist of six eligible novels.<\/p>\n<p>The panel of judges is made up of a voluntary body of distinguished writers, critics and fans with the panel line-up changing every year. The juries are drawn from such organisations as the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bsfa.co.uk\">British Science Fiction Association<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sf-foundation.org\">Science Fiction Foundation<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/sci-fi-london.com\">Sci-Fi London<\/a>\u00a0film festival.<\/p>\n<p>Judges are appointed for two years: Paul will be on the panel for the 2017 and 2018 awards.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Paul March-Russell is the editor of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sf-foundation.org\/publications\/index.html\"><em>Foundation: The International Review of Science Fiction<\/em><\/a>, and general editor of <a href=\"http:\/\/sf.gylphi.co.uk\/index.php\">SF Storyworlds <\/a>\u00a0(Gylphi Press). His latest book publication is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.palgrave.com\/page\/detail\/modernism-and-science-fiction-paul-marchrussell\/?isb=9780230273481\"><em>Modernism and Science Fiction<\/em><\/a> (Palsgrave, 2015).<\/p>\n<p>Further details of the\u00a0Arthur C.
