This is the culmination of three or four years of hard work, or longer for part-time students.<\/p>\n<p>Several students in the department\u00a0have also\u00a0won awards\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0SECL prize giving. The winners are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jessica Bourne, the Best Degree in English Language &amp; Linguistics<\/li>\n<li>Douglas Broad, the English Language and Linguistics\u00a0Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Suzanne Patterson wins the prize for the most significant contribution to English Language &amp; Linguistics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The prizes were\u00a0awarded at the Graduation Party on campus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to our final-year students\u00a0from the Department of\u00a0English\u00a0Language &amp; Linguistics\u00a0who are graduating today with their well-earned degrees.
