This is the culmination of four years of hard work, including an additional year spent overseas.<\/p>\n<p>Several students in the department\u00a0have also\u00a0won awards\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0SECL prize giving. The winners are:<\/p>\n<p><strong>French<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amelia Uphill, the Best Degree in French<\/li>\n<li>Amelia Uphill, the French Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Rafael Veses Garcia for the most significant contribution to French<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>German<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holly Allen, Best Degree in German<\/li>\n<li>Rosa Hull and Gavin Shepherd, joint winners of the German Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Emma Richards for the most significant contribution to German<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hispanic Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fiona Sengal, the Best degree in Hispanic Studies<\/li>\n<li>Fiona Segal and Isabella Gardner, joint winners of the Hispanic Studies Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Lucinda Smith and Valerio Granatina, joint winners\u00a0of the most significant contribution to Hispanic Studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Italian<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Georgina Loxley,\u00a0Best Degree in Italian<\/li>\n<li>Georgina Loxley, the Italian Dissertation Prize<\/li>\n<li>Georgina Loxley for the most significant contribution to Italian<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The prizes were\u00a0awarded at the Graduation Party on campus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to our final-year students\u00a0from the Department of Modern Languages who are graduating today with their well-earned degrees.
