{"id":5621,"date":"2016-02-29T15:22:09","date_gmt":"2016-02-29T15:22:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=5621"},"modified":"2016-06-17T13:05:18","modified_gmt":"2016-06-17T12:05:18","slug":"call-for-papers-6th-annual-swipe-conference-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2016\/02\/29\/call-for-papers-6th-annual-swipe-conference-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for papers: 8th annual SWIPE  conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 8th annual SWIPE (Student Work In Progress Exposition) conference will take place on Friday 18 March 2016 at Kent.<\/p>\n<p>Organised by students from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/complit\/index.html\">Department of Comparative Literature<\/a>, the conference offers students from all <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/humanities\/\">Humanities <\/a>disciplines the chance to present papers relating to their university work (either completed or in progress) to an audience of their peers, and is especially useful to those students working on dissertations or thinking about going on to postgraduate study.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be submitted to <a href=\"mailto:yyjl2@kent.ac.uk\">yyjl2@kent.ac.uk<\/a> \u00a0by Monday<strong>\u00a07\u00a0March 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If nervous about presenting, feel free to attend the SWIPE workshop on 10 March, which will be in Keynes College Seminar Room 16 at 1pm.<\/p>\n<p>All queries should be directed to <a href=\"mailto:yyjl2@kent.ac.uk\">yyjl2@kent.ac.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 8th annual SWIPE (Student Work In Progress Exposition) conference will take place on Friday 18 March 2016 at Kent.
