{"id":5596,"date":"2016-05-18T09:25:20","date_gmt":"2016-05-18T08:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=5596"},"modified":"2018-06-01T19:16:29","modified_gmt":"2018-06-01T18:16:29","slug":"new-ma-in-rome-ancient-and-modern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2016\/05\/18\/new-ma-in-rome-ancient-and-modern\/","title":{"rendered":"New MA in Rome \u2013 Ancient and Modern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/index.html\">Department of Classical &amp; Archaeological Studies<\/a> is pleased to announce its new MA programme for the 2016\/17 academic year, Rome &#8211;\u00a0Ancient and Modern is now open for applications.<\/p>\n<p>The MA is a unique programme that enables you to engage with the city of Rome as a contemporary city with major archaeological, artistic, and historic significance that underpins its identity as the Eternal City.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Ray Laurence, director of the new MA, described the programme: \u2018This new programme creates a synergy between the study of the History of Art, notably Raphael, and the study of Rome in antiquity.
