It is presented annually to 25-30 non-resident Indians (NRIs) worldwide by the NRI Welfare Society of India, an organisation under the umbrella of the Indian Government.<\/p>\n<p>Reshmi received the award at a ceremony in New Delhi attended by senior members of the Government of India and of the Supreme Court of India.
