The competition is supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/publicengagement\/per-fund.html\">Pro Vice Chancellor&#8217;s Public Engagement Fund<\/a> and\u00a0 follows on from the success of Ray&#8217;s\u00a0two TED-Ed films, \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=juWYhMoDTN0\">A Glimpse of Teenage Life in Ancient Rome<\/a>\u2019 and \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RQMgLxVxsrw\">Four Sisters in Ancient Rome<\/a>\u2019, which have had over 3 million views on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>The competition invites students to write a script focussing on a day-in-the-life of an individual living in Rome. It is an exciting way for students to use their knowledge about Rome and its people to develop their own stories and can help with revision. The lucky winner will receive \u00a3200 and have the chance to have their script turned into an animated film. The runner up will receive \u00a3100 and 3rd prize\u00a0\u00a350.<\/p>\n<p>The script should be no more than a 1,000 words and the <strong>deadline for entries is 9pm on 30 April 2016<\/strong>.
