{"id":5415,"date":"2016-01-20T09:19:32","date_gmt":"2016-01-20T09:19:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=5415"},"modified":"2016-01-20T09:19:32","modified_gmt":"2016-01-20T09:19:32","slug":"archaeology-phd-wins-hasted-prize","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2016\/01\/20\/archaeology-phd-wins-hasted-prize\/","title":{"rendered":"Archaeology PhD wins Hasted Prize"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr Elizabeth Blanning, who recently graduated with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/postgraduate\/research-classical-archaeological-studies.html\">PhD in Classical &amp; Archaeological Studies<\/a>, has won the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kentarchaeology.org.uk\/grants\/\">Hasted Prize<\/a> for her thesis entitled &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/kar.kent.ac.uk\/47715\/\">Landscape, Settlement and Materiality: Aspects of Rural Life in Kent during the Roman Period<\/a>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>The Hasted Prize is awarded every two years by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kentarchaeology.org.uk\">Kent Archaeological Society<\/a>\u00a0for the best\u00a0research degree\u00a0relating to the history, heritage or archaeology of Kent.
