Course Reps take part on the staff-student liaison committees, and take part in education forums. Training is provided.<\/p>\n<p>Being a Course Rep provides an opportunity for students to develop skills such as advocacy, representation and leadership, shape Kent Union policy. It also contributes to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kentunion.co.uk\/activities\/volunteering\/kscv\/\">Kent Student Certificate in Volunteering<\/a> award, as well as offering a chance to meet new people, and make a difference in the lives of students.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/index.html\">School of European Culture and Languages<\/a>\u00a0(SECL) is looking for 26 representatives\u00a0across all subject areas and stages, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You can\u00a0view the\u00a0list of posts available at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kentunion.co.uk\/elections\/posts\/1195\/\">www.kentunion.co.uk\/elections\/posts\/1195\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>To volunteer, students can put their own names forward via nomination.
