{"id":4350,"date":"2015-06-12T11:54:18","date_gmt":"2015-06-12T10:54:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=4350"},"modified":"2015-06-12T11:54:18","modified_gmt":"2015-06-12T10:54:18","slug":"alumna-walks-from-canterbury-to-rome","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2015\/06\/12\/alumna-walks-from-canterbury-to-rome\/","title":{"rendered":"Alumna walks from Canterbury to Rome"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Julia Peters, a graduate from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/postgraduate\/taught-roman-history-and-archaeology-rome.html\">MA in Roman History and Archaeology (with a Term in Rome)<\/a> programme, will complete her 1,200 mile walk from Canterbury to Rome on Sunday 14 June.<\/p>\n<p>Julia\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/news\/index.html?view=3980\">started her journey<\/a> on Saturday 28 March to promote the Via Francigena \u2013 the ancient pilgrim route running from France to Rome \u2013 and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.culture-routes.lu\/php\/fo_index.php?lng=en\">European Institute of Cultural Routes<\/a>, as well as connecting the University of Kent&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/locations\/canterbury\/\">Canterbury campus<\/a> with its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/rome\/\">Rome centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During her walk Julia has been\u00a0writing a blog about her experiences and the people who have\u00a0joined her along the way.
