{"id":3989,"date":"2015-03-27T15:45:13","date_gmt":"2015-03-27T15:45:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/?p=3989"},"modified":"2015-03-27T15:45:20","modified_gmt":"2015-03-27T15:45:20","slug":"qr-funding-increase-following-ref2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/secl-news-events\/2015\/03\/27\/qr-funding-increase-following-ref2014\/","title":{"rendered":"QR funding increase following REF2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following the results from the recent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ref.ac.uk\">Research Excellence Framework<\/a> (REF2014), the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hefce.ac.uk\/\">Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE)<\/a> announced yesterday that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/classics\/staff\/laurence.html\">University of Kent<\/a> will receive a 27.3% increase in quality-related research (QR) funding, one of the largest increases in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/secl\/index.html\">School of European Culture and Languages<\/a> (SECL) is delighted to have contributed a major part of this success, with the income to the University from SECL&#8217;s REF2014 submission in 2015\/16 to see a substantial increase.
